We started January because we’ve seen how hard this part can be. Families are often asked to make fast decisions, with unclear information, and very little in the way of real support.

We’re building something better: a straightforward way to plan cremation and a meaningful gathering, with guidance you can actually trust. We know this isn’t easy, and we don’t take your trust lightly. Our promise is simple: we’ll show up with clarity, care, and honesty, every step of the way.

When will January open?

We’ll begin serving families in the Atlanta area in early 2026. Our first offering will be Celebration of Life planning, followed a few months later by Direct Cremation services.

Can I plan something with January now?

Not yet. Our services aren’t live, but you can join our waitlist to stay updated and receive planning resources. We’ll reach out directly as soon as we begin booking families.

What services will January offer?

We’ll offer two connected services:

Direct cremation: a simple, supported cremation handled start to finish by licensed partners, with flat, all-inclusive pricing.

Celebration of life planning: help organizing a meaningful gathering — including venue coordination, vendor recommendations, timeline planning, and day-of guidance.You can use either service on its own or both together.

How is January different from a funeral home?

Traditional funeral homes often combine cremation, ceremony, and merchandise into large bundled packages. January separates what families actually need:  transparent cremation and personal celebration planning, and delivers both with clarity, compassion, and fair pricing.

What is direct cremation, exactly?

Direct cremation means the cremation happens without a traditional funeral service first. The person is respectfully transported from their place of passing to a licensed crematory. Their ashes are returned directly to the family, who can then plan a celebration on their own terms — at home, outdoors, or in a venue that feels right.

What will celebration planning include?

We’ll help you choose the right venue, coordinate with vendors (like florists, caterers, musicians, and celebrants), create a simple timeline for the day, and manage details so everything runs smoothly. You’ll have a clear budget and checklist from the start.

Where will January operate first?

Our first families will be in metro Atlanta and nearby areas, with plans to expand to additional cities down the road.

How will pricing work?

Both services will have flat, transparent pricing. Direct Cremation will be offered at one all-inclusive rate; no hidden fees or surprise costs. Celebration of Life will include tiered packages with flat pricing, so you can choose the level of support that fits your needs, with the option to add or customize
as you go.
